About the race
The Beat Lives On 5K Run/Walk is a community road event held in Venetian Shores, Lindenhurst. The listing refers to a mid-May date for the event and indicates that registration is not yet open for the upcoming edition.
All participants receive a colorful t-shirt (availability limited after a deadline), a decorative finisher medal, a raffle ticket, and a personalized bib when registration occurs at least three weeks before the event. Awards are given to the top three men and top three women overall, top three men and women in multiple age groups (12 and under; 13–19; 20–29; 30–39; 40–49; 50–59; 60–69; 70+), and the top man and woman who are Lindenhurst residents. Live online results and same-day finish-line photos and video are provided.
The course begins at Venetian Park and follows a loop through local streets including Granada Parkway, Harding Avenue, East Shore Road, and several parkways and avenues before returning to the park for the finish.
