The Beat Lives On 5K Run/Walk, May 17, 2026
The event is a community 5K run and walk held in Venetian Shores, Lindenhurst. The course begins at Venetian Park and follows a loop through local streets, returning to the park for the finish. The route includes Granada Parkway, Harding Avenue, East Shore Road, Perry Place, Wyona Avenue, Schley/Elm Street, Lido Parkway, Maple Avenue, West Lake Drive, Verona Parkway, Oak Avenue, Riviera Parkway, Beach Place and Venetian Boulevard.
Registration is not open at the time of posting and will open before the event. Participants receive a colorful t-shirt (availability not guaranteed after 11:59 PM on May 9), a decorative finisher medal, a raffle ticket, and a personalized bib if registered at least three weeks in advance. Virtual participants receive their bibs by mail; the shipping window ranges from one week before to one week after the event.
Awards are presented to the top three male and female overall finishers with gift cards, top three male and female finishers in age groups 12 and under, 13-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70 plus, and to the top male and female Lindenhurst resident. Proceeds benefit a Long Island organization focused on raising awareness and support in the fight against drug addiction.
