The Beat Lives On 5K Run/Walk
The Beat Lives On 5K Run/Walk is a community running event in Venetian Shores, Lindenhurst. The course begins at Venetian Park, follows local streets through the neighborhood, and returns to the park for the finish.
Participants receive a colorful t-shirt (not guaranteed after 11:59PM on 5/9), a decorative finisher medal, a raffle ticket, and a personalized bib if registered three weeks in advance. Additional raffle tickets are available for purchase at the event. Virtual participants have their bibs shipped within a window ranging from one week before the event to one week after.
Awards are given to the top three men and top three women overall with gift cards, to the top three men and women in age groups (12 and under, 13-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+), and to the top man and top woman who are Lindenhurst residents.
Bibs can be picked up in person; registration opens at the bib pickup location starting at 8AM. A self-lookup area is available for participants who do not know their bib number.
Proceeds from the event benefit Long Island Facilities Raising Awareness and Support in the Fight Against Drug Addiction and support the Beat Lives On Foundation.
