The Beat Lives On 5K Run/Walk
The event is a community 5K run/walk held in Venetian Shores, Lindenhurst. Proceeds benefit an organization focused on raising awareness and support in the fight against drug addiction on Long Island.
All participants are listed as receiving a colorful t-shirt, a decorative finisher medal, a raffle ticket, and a personalized bib when registration occurs at least three weeks before the event. T-shirt availability may be limited after the date noted by the organizer. Additional raffle tickets are available for purchase at the event. Virtual entries receive bibs shipped to the participant; shipping typically occurs within a window spanning one week before to one week after the event.
Awards are planned for the top three male and female overall finishers with gift cards, the top three male and female finishers in each age group (12 & under, 13-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+), and the top male and female Lindenhurst resident.
The course starts at Venetian Park and follows a neighborhood loop that includes Granada Parkway, Harding Avenue, East Shore Road, Lido Parkway, Maple Avenue, West Lake Drive, Verona Parkway, Riviera Parkway, Beach Place, and Venetian Boulevard before returning to the park for the finish. Live online, email, and text results are available along with same-day finish line photos and free video.
