The Beat Lives On 5K Run/Walk
The Beat Lives On 5K Run/Walk is held in Lindenhurst, New York, at Venetian Shores Park. The event takes place in memory of CJ Neumann and serves as a benefit for Long Island facilities that focus on raising awareness and providing support in the fight against drug addiction.
Participants can choose between two primary registration options:
- In-Person 5K Run/Walk
- Virtual 5K (Available from May 17 to May 24)
The 5K course begins at Venetian Park and follows a route through local streets, including Granada Parkway, Harding Avenue, and Lido Parkway, before returning to finish inside the park. In-person participants receive a colorful t-shirt, a decorative finisher medal, and a raffle ticket. Those who register at least three weeks before the event also receive a personalized bib.
Awards are presented to the top three male and female finishers overall in the form of gift cards. There are also age group awards for the top three male and female participants in categories ranging from 12 and under to 70 and over. A special award is available for the top male and female Lindenhurst residents.
The virtual option allows participants to complete the distance at a location of their choice and upload times and photos online. Virtual bibs are shipped directly to participants. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
