The Bath Beat

Distances offered include:
- 12.5 miles - £25 per person
- 17 miles - £34 per person
- 21 miles - £34 per person
- 26.5 miles - £34 per person
The routes start on the southeastern edge of the city and lead into the surrounding countryside. Paths go through woods, hills and river valleys on the southerly edge of the Cotswolds. All routes follow public footpaths and include sections along a historical disused canal and across farmland with scenic views. Several checkpoints are placed along each route with homemade cakes and sandwiches. The 21 mile and 26.5 mile routes include hot food and drinks served in a hall roughly halfway around.
Entry includes a recovery service for participants who cannot finish under their own power, and finishers receive a medal plus food and drink at the finish. The longest route visits the villages of Bathford, Avoncliffe, Hinton Charterhouse, Norton St Philip, Wellow and Combe Hay before returning to Bath via the Somerset Coal Canal and the village of Midford.
