Event overview
The Bath Beat is a walking and running event in and around Bath. The 2026 event will take place on Saturday 25 April 2026. Entries open the week beginning 12 January 2026. Prices listed for 2026 are £20 per person for the 12.5 mile distance and £29 per person for the 17, 21 and 26.5 mile distances. The event starts on the southeastern edge of Bath and passes through countryside on the southerly edge of The Cotswolds.

All routes follow public footpaths and include sections along a historical disused canal and across farmland. Checkpoints on all routes provide homemade cakes and sandwiches. The 21 and 26.5 mile routes include hot food and drinks served in a hall about halfway round. The longest route visits Bathford, Avoncliffe, Hinton Charterhouse, Norton St Philip, Wellow, Combe Hay and Midford before returning to Bath on the Somerset Coal Canal. Entry includes recovery assistance if a participant cannot finish under their own power, a medal for finishers, and food and drink. Organisers invite volunteers to help with the event.
