5K Run for Danny's Pantry

The event is a charity 5K held at the Essex County South Mountain Recreation Complex in West Orange, New Jersey, with in-person and virtual participation options and a dedicated student/child category. In-person participants take part in a run/walk around the Orange Reservoir; a team challenge is offered as part of the in-person program.

There are separate registration fees listed for each participation type: in-person 5K, virtual 5K, and a reduced fee for students and children. T-shirts can be mailed to virtual participants for an additional postage fee. Check-in and packet pickup are located at the Clipper Pavilion near the registration area. The event site provides ample parking with direct access to the registration area. Only clear small bags are allowed and are subject to inspection.

All proceeds support Danny's Pantry. In August 2024 the District of New Jersey established a food pantry in remembrance of a tragic death; the pantry distributes food staples to families and to program participants served by the court.
