The Bà Duathlon
The Bà Duathlon is a single-day 80 mile off-road duathlon based out of Kinlochewe, Scotland, scheduled for 5 September 2026. The event combines an off-road run and a road ride with substantial climbing and remote terrain.
The format starts with an off-road run of about 18 miles over mountain trails that include roughly 1,000 m of ascent and descent before riders reach the transition. The subsequent road ride covers about 62 miles, joining the sportive route to include the closed Bealach Na Bà climb. Total elevation across the run and ride is about 3,000 m. The Bealach Na Bà section is run on closed roads for participants in this event.
The event sets an age minimum of 18 and requires applicants to meet prerequisite experience criteria; entrants must provide details of their experience to secure a place on the start list. Entries open 31 October 2025 and close 31 July 2026. The listed entry fee is £90.
Race services listed for entrants include a bike shuttle to the transition zone, timed segments for the uphill run, the Bealach bike climb and overall time, mountain safety cover, feed stations, and an end-of-event meal with a ceilidh dance.
