The Bà Duathlon : Kinlochewe, Scotland
The Bà Duathlon is an off-road run and road ride event based in Kinlochewe, Scotland, held on 5 September 2026. The full route is an 80-mile duathlon that combines mountain trail running with a long road cycle section and finishes back in Kinlochewe.
The event includes an off-road run of 18 miles over mountain trails with about 1,000 m of climbing and descending before the bike leg. The subsequent road ride covers 62 miles along the west coast and joins the sportive route to include a closed-road ascent of Bealach Na Bà. The total elevation for the day is around 3,000 m across both run and ride.
Event services and features listed for entrants include a closed road over Bealach Na Bà, a bike shuttle from the start area to the transition zone, timed segments for the uphill run, the Bealach bike climb, and overall time, mountain safety cover, feed stations with snacks and hydration, and an end-of-event meal with a ceilidh dance.
Entries open 31 October 2025 and close 31 July 2026. The minimum age is 18 or older and the entry fee shown is £90. The event has a prerequisite list and asks entrants to provide details of their experience to secure a place on the start list. Camping is available on a field for a small donation.
