The Bà Duathlon

The Bà Duathlon takes place in Kinlochewe, Scotland on 5 September 2026. It is part of The Bà Event Series in the north west of Scotland and runs alongside The Bà Sportive before the routes merge. The event is organized from the Highland village of Kinlochewe.

  • 80-mile duathlon
  • Run: 18 miles, ~1,000 m climb and descent before the bike
  • Ride: 62 miles
  • Total elevation: 3,000 m

Course and logistics

The route is off-road for the run section, then joins a road ride that includes a closed-road section over the Bealach Na Bà. The road ride merges onto The Bà Sportive route and passes the Bealach Na Bà climb as a timed segment. The event provides a bike shuttle from the start line to the transition zone, timed segments for the uphill run, the Bealach bike climb, and overall time, mountain safety cover, and feed stations. The entry package includes an end-of-event meal and a ceilidh dance. Camping is available on a nearby field for a requested donation.

Entries and requirements

Entries open 31 October 2025 and close 31 July 2026. Minimum age is 18 or older. The entry fee is £90. There is a prerequisite list and entrants will be asked to provide details of their experience before places are confirmed. Entries listed so far: 10 participants.
