CELTMAN! Extreme Scottish Triathlon
The fourteenth edition of the CELTMAN! Extreme Scottish Triathlon will take place on June 13th 2026 in Torridon, Wester Ross in the Scottish Highlands. A separate Solo event is scheduled for June 20th 2026. The race is part of the XTRI World Tour.
The organisers note that competitors may face cold water, strong winds, driving rain and low visibility. The swim takes place in Loch Shieldaig and the water is described as consistently cold and sometimes jellyfish infested. A severe storm in 2013 pushed competitors off course.
The bike route covers Highland roads and single track passes with about 2200 metres of climbing. Weather can strongly affect the route and a headwind is common on the final third of the course.
The run is 42 kilometres with about 1600 metres of ascent. The route rises over two Munros on the Beinn Eighe range. In Scotland a Munro is any mountain over 3000 feet.
The race offers qualification places for the XTRI World Championship at Norseman: first and second placed men and women will automatically qualify. Celtman also awards 100 X-Points.
