CELTMAN! Extreme Scottish Triathlon : Torridon, Scotland
CELTMAN! is an extreme triathlon held on June 12 2027 in Torridon, Wester Ross, Scotland. It is part of the XTRI World Tour and awards 100 X-Points. The top two men and top two women earn automatic qualification for the 2027 XTRI World Championship at Norseman in August.
The event is centred around the Torridon mountains and takes place in variable Highland weather. Participants should expect cold water, strong winds, driving rain and low visibility in mountain sections. The swim takes place in Loch Shieldaig; the water is described as consistently cold and can cause severe effects even at a shortened distance. Jellyfish are present in the swim area.
Course details:
- 3.4 km Atlantic swim in cold, jellyfish-infested water
- 200 km bike on Highland roads with 2200 metres of climbing
- 42 km mountain run ascending over 1600 metres across two Munros in the Beinn Eighe range
