The Auburn Mile : Auburn, CA (July 4, 2026)
The Auburn Mile is a community one-mile race held on July 4, 2026 in downtown Auburn, California. The course follows the full parade route and runs on fully closed parade streets, beginning in downtown Auburn and finishing at the Downtown Square. Chip timing is provided and registered participants receive a race shirt according to the event's registration tier policies.
The event program includes a separate Auburn Mini-Mile Kids Fun Run open to children ages 3 to 10. The main race is open to participants ages 6 and older. The Mini-Mile is a charitable effort in partnership with KidsFirst and a portion of proceeds from the kids fun run will be donated to that organization.
An Age Graded Team Challenge is part of the Auburn Mile. Teams of three to five runners compete with finish times adjusted for age and gender using World Masters Athletics standards; the three fastest adjusted times from each team are combined for a final score. The team challenge is included with regular registration at no additional fee.
Spectators line the streets along the route and festive attire, including red, white, and blue, is encouraged as the race precedes the community parade and morning celebrations coordinated by the Auburn Area Chamber of Commerce. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
