About the race
The Amazing Grace Running Scared 5K Run and Walk is the 19th annual event held on October 17, 2026, at Reading Veterans Memorial Stadium in Cincinnati, Ohio. The event supports youth education and has raised approximately $350,000 to benefit children in the Cincinnati Valley area.
The main offering is a flat 3.1 mile course that runs from West Street through the "spooky" Reading Cemetery and finishes on the stadium track. Water is provided at the start, midcourse and finish. Runners and walkers are welcomed and participants are encouraged to wear costumes. There is a live post-race party inside and outside Haffey Fieldhouse with food from sponsors, music, a costume contest with prizes, door prizes, raffle baskets, a beer garden and additional fundraising activities. Beer is available for attendees age 21 and over with proper ID.
Event options include a live 5K Run/Walk, a Virtual 5K that allows participants to run or walk their own 5K and post results online, and a Party Only option. Awards consist of the event's Famous Mugs given to the first 50 men and first 50 women across the finish; there are no age category awards.
