Mounds State Park Dino Trail Run
The Dino Trail Run at Mounds State Park is scheduled for Saturday March 7, 2026 in Anderson, Indiana. The event uses park trails with views of the White River and the ceremonial mounds that give the park its name.

Online registration closes the Wednesday before the event at midnight; in person registration is available the day of the race. Entry fees are listed as 5K $30 and 15K $35, with a day of entry fee of $10 or more. The kids race is free. Madison County residents receive a 50 percent discount with ID; discounts may not be combined. Season pass options are available for multiple series events.
The race starts just inside the park gatehouse. The 15K heads southward while the 5K heads northward. Aid stations are placed at roughly two mile intervals. The 15K course requires three circuits of the southern section and two circuits of the northern section; runners pass the lap and finish split twice before completing the final southern circuit.
Facilities include a heated pavilion and heated restrooms. Race rules require a visible race number, adherence to marked trails, and courteous passing. Headphones and dogs are not permitted. There are no refunds and transfers have cutoff and fee rules. Awards include medals for the overall top three in each distance and medals for top three in age groups.
