Thames Turbo Women’s Aquathlon 2026 : Shepperton Lake
This women-only aquathlon takes place at Shepperton Lake (Ferris Meadow Lake, Ferry Lane, Shepperton TW17 9LH) and pairs an open water swim with a flat run course. The swim takes place in calm lake water and the run follows a flat route suitable for jog or walk laps. The event is set up to encourage first timers into multisport as well as to offer a woman-only option for experienced participants.
Distances
- First Timer: 250 m swim, 2 km jog/walk (1 lap)
- Step-up Aquathlon: 600 m swim, 6 km jog/run (3 laps)
Event facilities include a changing area, outside cold showers, a tented transition area with sides for full changing, bag drop, and on-site parking with overflow. Bike racks are available and car sharing is encouraged. Portable toilets with period products are provided. Aid stations are located at the run start and on the lap route offering water, cola in disposable cups, bananas, flapjacks, wine gums, and salted crisps. All participants receive a swim float for safety; wetsuit hire is available but limited and water temperature will be confirmed nearer the event.
Travel notes state Shepperton Station is a 15–20 minute walk from the venue, with local bus links from nearby towns. Volunteer marshals are requested for the race. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
