Thames Turbo Women's Aquathlon - Shepperton Lake
The Thames Turbo Women's Aquathlon is a women only swim-run event held at Shepperton Lake in Middlesex. The event is aimed at participants new to open water swimming and multi-sport formats and emphasises a supportive, community atmosphere.
The course uses the lake for the swim stage and a flat, grassy route for the run stage. Transition takes place on grass. Distance markers are provided and much of the route is traffic free, with closed roads noted for the run stages.
Race distances include:
- First Timer Aquathlon: 250m swim, 2km run
- Step Up Aquathlon: 600m swim, 6km run
The venue provides on-site catering options including hot drinks and homemade pizza, plus facilities such as changing, showers and toilets. Event features listed by the organiser include accessible parking, aid stations, chip timing, finishers medals, prizes and online results.
