Thames Path Ultra Challenge : 12-13 Sept 2026
The Thames Path Ultra Challenge runs along the Thames towpath from Putney Bridge to Henley-on-Thames. The route passes Richmond, Hampton Court, Runnymede and Windsor, and the full continuous option follows the river upstream to a riverside finish in Henley. The event usually attracts over 3,000 participants across the weekend.
Multiple distance options are offered to suit different plans and schedules:
- 100 km full continuous route Fulham to Henley-on-Thames
- 100 km two-day daylight option with an overnight campsite
- 72 km three-quarter challenge Hurst Park to Henley-on-Thames
- 50 km first half Fulham to Runnymede
- 50 km second half Runnymede to Henley-on-Thames
- 28 km / 22 km quarter sections on Saturday and Sunday
- 25 km Thames Bridges Trek in Central London
- 10 km Henley 10K riverside loop
Event support includes covered rest stops approximately every 12.5 km, larger marquee rest stops every ~25 km, catering for varied dietary needs, medical and massage teams, and GPS tracking via an event app. Options include camping packages, shuttle transfers to local stations, team entries, a Solo Challenger start time, Ultra March category for brisk walkers, and a Trailblazerz category for faster, time-targeted runners.
