Thames Path Ultra Challenge (12-13 Sept 2026)
The Thames Path Ultra Challenge runs along the Thames towpath from Putney/ Fulham to Henley-on-Thames. The full route follows the river upstream and passes Richmond, Hampton Court, Runnymede and Windsor to a riverside finish in Henley. The event is scheduled across the weekend of 12-13 September 2026 and typically attracts over 3,000 participants at the Putney Bridge start.

Options include a continuous 100 km, a 2-day daylight 100 km with an optional campsite at the halfway point, a 72 km 3/4 challenge, separate half and quarter sections, and a riverside Henley 10K. There are rest stops about every 12.5 km and larger “major” stops every 25 km with marquee cover, catering, seating and medical/welfare tents. Catering (snacks every 12.5 km, meals every 25 km) and support services such as medics, podiatrists and massage teams are provided. The route is fully signed with pink arrows and glow-sticks at night and features GPS tracking via the event app. Shuttle buses and transfers to local stations are available, and finishers receive a medal, T-shirt and a finishers meal. Special entry categories include the Ultra March option for fast walkers and the Ultra Trailblazerz option for faster, competitive runners.
