Thames Path Ultra Challenge (12-13 Sept 2026)
The Thames Path Ultra Challenge runs along the Thames towpath from Putney Bridge / Fulham toward Henley-on-Thames, passing Richmond, Hampton Court, Runnymede, and Windsor. The event is scheduled across the weekend of 12-13 September 2026 and expects over 3,000 participants at the Putney Bridge start. A riverside finish is located at Henley-on-Thames.

- 100 km full over 2 days (two 50 km stages with optional campsite)
- 72 km (3/4 Challenge) Hurst Park to Henley-on-Thames
- 50 km (1st Half) Fulham to Runnymede
- 50 km (2nd Half) Runnymede to Henley-on-Thames
- 28 km (1st Quarter) Fulham to Hurst Park
- 22 km (2nd Quarter) Hurst Park to Runnymede
- 28 km (3rd Quarter) Runnymede to Cookham
- 22 km (4th Quarter) Cookham to Henley-on-Thames
- 10 km Henley 10K riverside loop (Sunday)
The event includes category options such as an Ultra March category for brisk walkers and a Trailblazerz category aimed at faster, competitive runners. Solo start, camping packages, and transfers are available.
Support and logistics
Rest stops occur about every 12.5 km with major stops about every 25 km; marquee cover, catering, seating, and medical and welfare tents are provided. The route is fully signed with directional arrows and GPS tracking via the event app; timing scans record progress at rest stops. Food and drink are included at rest stops, with meals at larger stops and dietary options available. Camping facilities, shuttle buses to local stations, and onsite medical and massage support are provided.
