Thames Path Ultra Challenge
The Thames Path Ultra Challenge takes place on 12-13 September 2026. The full 100 km route starts at Putney Bridge (Bishops Park in West London) and follows the Thames Towpath upstream to a finish in Henley-on-Thames. The course passes through Richmond, Hampton Court, Runnymede, and Windsor.
Multiple distance options are available, allowing participation as an individual or a team. Activities can be completed by walking, jogging, or running.
Available distances include:
- 100 km (Full Continuous)
- 72 km (3/4 Challenge)
- 50 km (1st Half or 2nd Half Challenge)
- 28 km (1st Quarter Challenge)
- 22 km (2nd Quarter Challenge)
- 10 km (Henley 10K on Sunday)
There is a 2-day option for the 100 km distance with an optional camping package at the halfway point in Runnymede. For 2026, there is a new Ultra Trailblazerz category for faster, competitive runners and an Ultra March category for walkers aiming to complete 100 km in under 24 hours or 50 km in under 12 hours.
Event support includes rest stops approximately every 12.5 km with food, drinks, and medical services. The route is fully signed and GPS tracking is available via an event app. A finisher's medal, t-shirt, and certificate are provided. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
