Thames Hospice Sunflower Walk 2026
The Sunflower Walk is an annual community event hosted by Thames Hospice in Bray. Participants walk through the local scenery starting from the hospice location on Windsor Road. This event is designed to bring together friends and families to support the provision of compassionate care for patients and their families.
The walk offers three distinct route lengths to accommodate different preferences:
- 2.5 km
- 10 km
- Half Marathon
A unique feature of the 2026 edition is the inclusion of the Trunks Across the Thames art trail. Along the walking routes, participants will encounter several hand-painted elephant sculptures from the trail. These sculptures are positioned at various points to brighten the path for walkers.
The event is open to individuals and groups, and dogs are permitted to join their owners on the walk. Participants are encouraged to use fundraising platforms to collect donations for the hospice. Registration is required for all participants, with entry fees varying based on the selected distance, while children aged 14 and under may participate for free.
