Event Overview
The Thad Davis Memorial 5K is a community athletic event held in Amanda, Ohio. Organised through a partnership between the AC Alumni Association and the AC Cross Country Team, the event serves as a fundraiser to support local alumni scholarship programs and the boys and girls cross country and track teams. The competition is open to participants of all ages and abilities.
Course Information
The event utilizes a course routed through the streets of Amanda. The terrain is described as relatively flat for both the running and walking distances. Participants can choose from the following options:
- 5K Run
- 2 Mile Walk
- 5K Virtual Run/Walk
Recognition and Amenities
The 5K Run includes a competitive element with awards presented to the first, second, and third overall male and female finishers. Additionally, awards are provided to the top three finishers in various age categories, ranging from 14 and under up to 70 and older. All participants in the Kids Fun Run receive participation awards.
Registered participants have access to post-race refreshments, including cold drinks, fruit, and other snacks. The event also features an awards presentation and door prizes.
