Combustion Anniversary Beer Mile
The Combustion Brewery Anniversary Beer Mile takes place at the Combustion Brewery & Taproom in Pickerington, Ohio. This event marks the 9th anniversary of the brewery and is held in the facility parking lot. Participants complete a total distance of 1 mile by navigating a looped course and consuming beverages provided by the brewery.
The race format requires participants to drink one beer and then run a quarter mile loop, repeating this process four times until the full mile is completed. The brewery provides all beverages in plastic cups, typically featuring a light lager or a gluten-free cider alternative such as "Blackberry Crusher." Results are tracked and posted for individual heats and as overall finishes.
Available event categories include:
- 1 mile individual beer mile across multiple heats
- 1 mile relay team for four people
Participation is restricted to individuals aged 21 and older, and a valid ID is required for bib pickup. To ensure safety, all runners must have a designated driver or use a ride-sharing service to leave the event, as driving after participation is not permitted.
