About the race
The Ten Trails Active Club Trot n' Treat Relay Scramble is a free, team-based running event held on 10/28/2026 in Black Diamond, Washington. Teams of one, two, or three compete to locate and return six rogue ghosts to their gravestones in Civic Park. The event distance is approximately 11K, with route distances shown on the event map given as approximations based on reasonable paths.
Teams may capture the six ghosts in any order but may only capture and return one ghost at a time. Except for solo entrants, teammates alternate legs so that all teammates capture an equal number of ghosts. There is a single division, so solo teams compete directly with two- and three-person teams. Only the team leader needs to register. Registration opens 9/1/2026 and closes 10/25/2026; the registration fee is $0.00.
Organizers note that the course is unmarked and participants choose their own routes between ghost locations. It will be dark during the event, so headlamps and flashlights are strongly encouraged. Younger children may participate with parental permission and should be accompanied by an adult for their relay legs.
