Tempo Winter 10K Series 2026-27
The Tempo Winter 10K Series takes place in and around Ilmington with five races delivered monthly from October to February: 18 October 2026, 15 November 2026, 20 December 2026, 17 January 2027 and 21 February 2027. Entries are limited; single-race and full-series entries are offered, with early bird prices that increase from 1 August. On the day entries are subject to race capacity.
Each race uses electronic timing chips attached to the rear of the race number; the same number is used for subsequent races so it should be kept between events. Finishers at every race receive a pack of sausages with vegetarian and vegan options. Competitors who complete all five races receive a Tempo Events memento at the final round and series winners are determined on gender points across the series. Day prizes are awarded to the first three male and female finishers and age-group cash prizes are given in 10 year categories from 35 years, based on gun time.
Course notes: Races 1 and 4 run counter-clockwise and Races 2 and 5 run clockwise; Race 3 follows an alternative route revealed on the day. The standard route includes an ascent at Larkstoke, descents via Nebsworth Lane and Campden Hill, a loop past village pubs and a finish on the field by the Ilmington Sports and Social Club.
Practical info: parking is provided on a closed road at Ballards Lane with limited parking at the Sports Club; do not park in the village. Baggage can be left in the clubhouse but it is not formally supervised. Refund and transfer rules apply up to six weeks before a race with a £2 administration fee; after that transfers require organiser approval.
