Telemark Sprint Triathlon - Cable, Wisconsin
The Telemark Sprint Triathlon takes place on Saturday, August 15, 2026, at Perry Lake Boat Landing in Cable, Wisconsin. The event includes a three-leg sprint-format course that starts with a lake swim, continues with a road bike segment, and finishes with a run on the Telemark Trail system. The finish is located near the planned Telemark Activity Center, a facility being developed by the Telemark Northwoods Community Foundation; the event is part of local fundraising for that project.
The course segments are:
- 750 meter swim on Perry Lake.
- 12 mile bike route around Takodah Lake.
- 5 kilometer run on the paved Telemark Trail.
There are two competition divisions: individual and relay. Relay teams may divide legs among members and a relay participant may complete more than one leg. If a relay team is not registered as a unit, the first registrant is required to pay the full team fee.
Race logistics include transition bike racks at Perry Lake Landing and at the bike-to-run transition at the base of Mt. Telemark. Participants may drop a bag at bib pick-up or on race morning for the bike-to-run transition. Bikes may be dropped at Perry Lake the evening before or the morning of the event. There is no parking at the start; parking is provided at the Telemark Lower Parking Lot near the bike-to-run transition and a shuttle is available between Telemark and the start.
Bib pick-up is at 15315 Nordmor Road, Cable, on the Friday before the event. Overall male and female winners and an overall relay winner will be recognized. Event T-shirts are available for purchase for $20. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
