Ted's Run for Literacy
Ted's Run for Literacy takes place on October 4, 2026 at Kildonan Park, 2015 Main Street, Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. The course starts at the Fox & Deer Shelter and is organized as an out-and-back route.
Distances offered:
- 2 km: one loop of the park walkway, course not timed.
- 5 km: exits at Scotia Street, turnaround at 328 Scotia Avenue; water station near turnaround; chip timed.
- 10 km: exits at Scotia Street; loops St John's Park; off-road section; water and porta-toilet; chip timed.
The event is fully inclusive and welcomes runners, walkers, and wheelers (wheelchair participants). For participant safety, skateboards and bicycles are not permitted on the course.
Established in 2010, the event raises funds in partnership with The Winnipeg Foundation. Proceeds support the non-profit organizations LiteracyWORKS and CanU. Organizers report having donated over CA$100,000 to non-profits that address poverty since the event began. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
