4th Annual Ted's Run 5K
The Racine Area Running Club is hosting the Fourth Annual Ted's Run 5K at J.I. Case High School in Racine, WI. The event honors Ted Miller, a Racine runner who served as vice president of the Racine Area Running Club and promoted running throughout Southeast Wisconsin. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to Girls On The Run of Southeastern Wisconsin on behalf of the Ted Miller family.
Ted Miller ran track and cross country while earning a bachelor’s degree from UW-Parkside in Kenosha. He became a three-time Collegiate All-American in track and field and won the Racine Lighthouse Run 10 Mile Race twice. He was inducted into the Racine Lighthouse Run Hall of Fame at age 46. His work at Merritt’s Running Center led to a career in the shoe industry, including two decades with the Weyco Group. Organizers present the event as a way to reflect his involvement in the local running community.
Registration for the event is listed with a fee of $30.00 and registration dates set between May and August 2026. The event location is given as J.I. Case High School, 7345 Washington Avenue, Racine, WI 53406. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
