Tecumseh Trail Challenge Festival - Yellowwood State Forest
The Tecumseh Trail Challenge Festival is a trail running event held on October 17, 2026 at Yellowwood State Forest near Nashville, Indiana. This is the 24th running of the festival style trail event.
The event offers multiple distance options:
- 8 mile
- 13.1 mile (half marathon)
- 26.2 mile (marathon)
- 50k
- 50k relay (2 to 4 person teams)
Course maps and GPX files are provided for each distance. Drop bags are allowed for the 50k and marathon only, one per aid station and two total. One of the drop bag locations is at the Dam Aid.
Festival style camping is available at the race site. Camping is tent only with pit toilets and porta potties; fee is $5 per person. There are 74 primitive sites about one mile south of the event site and additional lodging options are listed in the event materials.
Post race provisions include finisher medals, age group awards for top three men and women in each age group, on site custom finish engravings, and planned food and amenities such as a mashed potato bar with soup options, live music, a fire pit, and a s'mores buffet. Athletic Brewing presence is noted for attendees 21 and over.
Online registration closes October 10 at midnight; in person registration is possible if the event is not sold out. Prices increase on scheduled dates and a bundle option and club discounts are available. Volunteer positions include festival camping, a T shirt, meal and future race discounts.
