Tecumseh Trail Challenge Festival
The Tecumseh Trail Challenge Festival is a trail running event held October 17, 2026, at Yellowwood State Forest near Nashville, Indiana. This is the 24th annual running of the festival, with the start/finish based at the Group Camp by Yellowwood Lake.
Event distances include:
- 8 Mile
- 13.1 (Half Marathon)
- 26.2 (Marathon)
- 50k
- 50k Relay (2–4 person)
Online registration closes October 10 at midnight; in-person registration is available if the event is not sold out. Festival-style tent camping is available at the race site with pit toilets and porta potties. Camping costs $5 per person at registration. There are 74 primitive campsites about 1 mile south of the event site through the state park reservation system.
Course materials and navigation files are provided, including GPX files for each distance and Avenza maps. The 50k relay uses the 8 Mile course. Drop bags are allowed for Marathon and 50k runners only, one bag per aid station and two total; 50k runners pass the second drop bag location twice. Unmanned water stops are noted for some training runs.
Post-race offerings listed for 2026 include finisher medals, age-group awards for the top three men and women in each age group, on-site custom finish engravings, live music, a fire pit, and food plans that are pending.
