The Tears to Hope 10km Relay is an annual in-person relay event held in northern British Columbia, Canada, honoring missing and murdered Indigenous women and girls (MMIWG). The 7th edition of this relay covers a 10-kilometer distance across multiple routes including Prince Rupert, Gitlaxt'aamiks, Smithers, and Kitimaat Village, culminating in Terrace, BC. Participants receive a custom running t-shirt, and the event fosters a supportive atmosphere focused on remembrance and social justice.
Sponsored by organizations such as UNIFOR Social Justice Fund and the World Gold Council, the relay also serves as a fundraising platform for the Tears to Hope Society. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
Always double-check with the organizer's website – things can change, and we might have sprinted past a few details!
