Race 7B - Hillcrest Consulting Teams 11.5km Handicap
The Hillcrest Consulting Teams 2 x 11.5km Handicap is a trail running event organized by the PCCCT. The race takes place at the Wild Mersey Mountain Bike Trails, utilizing the Latrobe Trailhead in Tasmania. Participants must be at least 15 years of age to enter this specific distance.
This event is a self-supported trail race, and participants are required to carry specific safety equipment during their run. Mandatory items include a mobile phone with the Emergency Plus app, a pea-less whistle, a thermal top, a survival blanket, a compression bandage, and a water capacity of at least 1 L. While a marshaled turnaround point provides water for refills, runners must fill their own containers. This event follows a leave-no-trace policy, requiring all runners to carry their rubbish to the finish line.
As the event is held on public shared-use trails, runners must be considerate of others and are expected to give way to mountain bike users. To protect the local environment, all participants must use the provided shoe wash station at the start area before commencing their run. A tail runner follows the final participant on the return leg to ensure safety.
Registration for the event is conducted online, and participants must hold either a season or single-race membership with the PCCCT. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
