Team RunFree Miles of Smiles 5K and 2 mile walk
Team RunFree holds its seventh annual Miles of Smiles event on June 13 in Adel, Iowa. The event includes a chip timed 5K race along with an untimed 2 mile walk that follow streets, parks and trails in and around Adel.
The running field will include members of Team RunFree and the Synergy adaptive running teams sharing the course. Medals will be awarded to the top two finishers in each age and gender runner group.
Participants and volunteers are provided a Chick fil A breakfast sandwich, fruit, snacks and fresh brewed coffee from The Rooted Bean. All participants receive a pair of Team RunFree socks. Lincoln Savings Bank is named as a sponsor.
Organizers note that Adel street construction has required a substantially changed route for 2026; the new route will be finalized and a map added when approved. Packet pick up is scheduled Friday, June 12 from 3 to 6 p.m. at the Adel Pavilion, 1016 Main, Adel, IA 50003, and on Saturday, June 13 from 6:45 to 7:45 a.m. at a location to be determined.
