Teal Ribbon Run
The Teal Ribbon Run is an annual charity run and walk organized by Hope For Heather to raise funds for ovarian cancer awareness, local patient support, and research. The 19th edition takes place on May 15, 2027 with a live event at Lewis Park in Minoa, NY and a concurrent virtual event held across a multi day window in May in recognition of ovarian cancer awareness and participants described as survivors and angels.
Event formats and distances include:
- 5K run live and virtual
- 10K run virtual option
- 3K family walk live and virtual
- Virtual pet walk with pet bandanna and participation items
The live 5K follows a flat Minoa village course. Prizes are awarded to top runners in each age group. Early registrants have a t shirt option. Registered virtual participants receive an event shirt, downloadable bib, and a downloadable certificate of participation and can upload finish times to compare with other entrants.
Funds raised support ovarian cancer awareness, local patient support, and research; the event materials state that 100 percent of donations support these purposes. Team tent locations are available on site by reservation. The event offers a basket raffle with more than 35 baskets and a lottery board.
