Event Overview
The Tay Ten is a road race organized by Perth Road Runners. The 2026 event is the 11th edition and is licensed by Scottish Athletics.
Course Details
The race is a single distance of 10 miles. The course is accurately measured and certified by Scottish Athletics. It is primarily flat and run on “B” class roads and a riverside track. The vast majority of the route is on tarmac, with a small trail section. The course is clearly marked and marshaled. The race starts and finishes at the George Duncan Athletics Track at Perth Grammar School in Perth.
Participant Information
Entry is limited to 375 runners, and all entrants must be 17 years or over. There is a strict 2-hour 30-minute cut-off time due to venue access. Registration is in person on the day, from 09:30 to 10:30, at Perth Grammar School Games Hall. Runners may enter in male, female, or non-binary/other categories.
Entry Fees and Options
Entry fees are tiered based on Scottish Athletics membership and a finisher's medal option. The pricing structure is:
- Bespoke wooden medal: £21.00 (Scottish Athletics members: £18.00)
- No medal: £16.00 (Scottish Athletics members: £13.00)
The medal must be selected at sign-up before 15th March 2026. There are strictly no entries on the day, no refunds, and no deferrals.
Facilities and Logistics
Car parking is available at Perth Grammar School, with overflow street parking nearby. Toilet facilities are available at the track and school hall, including gender-neutral options. Limited changing facilities are available, but there are no showers. Food and hot drinks will be available for purchase from a vendor on site. One water station on the route will be passed twice by runners.
Rules and Safety
In line with UK Athletics/Scottish Athletics rules, only bone-conduction headphones are permitted. Dogs are not allowed in the event areas except for guide dogs. The event operates under a published risk assessment. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
