Tay Ten
The Tay Ten is Perth Road Runners' open ten mile road race held each spring. The 2027 edition will take place on Sunday 2 May 2027. The race starts and finishes on the athletics track at the George Duncan Athletics Arena in North Muirton, Perth.
The course is measured and certified and uses tarmac, asphalt and other hard surfaces. Around 90% of the route avoids public roads by using paths and cycleways north of Perth. Total climb on the course is about 25 to 30 metres. There is one water station on the route, passed twice between the 4–5 mile and the 7–8 mile markers.
The event is licensed by Scottish Athletics and operates under UK Athletics and Scottish Athletics regulations. Timing has been conducted using webscorer since 2024. First aid provision is arranged for the race. Entry is through Entry Central; there are no on-the-day entries and the race was full in 2026. In 2026 there were 288 finishers and 375 places had been available. Minimum entry age under Scottish Athletics rules is 17 on race day. The entry form offers a choice of a wooden medal or no medal, with a lower fee for the no medal option. The organisers welcome entries in a Non-Binary/Other category.
The race was first held in 2014 and replaced an earlier Heaven & Hell half marathon. Local sponsors and on-site catering have been part of recent editions. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
