Event Overview
The Tarleton State Block & Bridle “Back to our Roots” 5K is scheduled for Saturday, April 18, 2026. The event takes place at the Tarleton Agriculture Center in Stephenville, Texas.
Events and Pricing
The event features three participation options:
- 5K Run
- 1 Mile Run
- Sleep-In Supporter
For the 5K and 1 Mile events, registration fees are lower before March 31, 2026. After this date, prices increase and a race t-shirt can be purchased for an additional $10. The Sleep-In Supporter registration is for those who wish to support the cause without running; they receive a t-shirt but are not assigned a race bib or eligible for awards. T-shirts are guaranteed for runners registered by April 1, 2025. All proceeds benefit Block and Bridle Student Academic Scholarships.
Awards
Awards are given for the 5K and 1 Mile runs. In the 5K, medals are awarded for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in multiple age groups. The 1 Mile run awards medals to the top three overall finishers. The top overall male and female 5K finishers receive a belt buckle.
Schedule and Logistics
Early packet pickup is scheduled for April 10-11, 2025, at the Purple Tractor. On race day, walk-up registration is available from 6:30 AM to 7:15 AM. The 5K run starts at 8:00 AM, and the 1 Mile run starts five minutes after the last 5K runner begins. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
