Cattle Drive 5K
The Cattle Drive 5K takes place on the campus of Tarleton State University in Stephenville, Texas. Organized by the Plowboy 100 Club, the event serves as a benefit for the Tarleton State Plowboys, a university spirit organization. The registration is open to participants of various fitness levels, including runners and walkers.
The event features a primary distance and a non-competitive support option:
- 5K
- Sleep In Supporter
The 5K course begins and ends near the Tarleton Recreation Center. Participants in the 5K are eligible for awards across several age divisions, including 19 and under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60 and over. The top three finishers in each age category receive medals, while the overall male and female winners are awarded trophies.
A Sleep In Supporter category is available for individuals who wish to contribute to the cause without participating in the physical race. Those registered for this category receive an event t-shirt but are not issued a race bib or eligible for performance awards. T-shirts are guaranteed for all participants who register by the mid-March deadline. Packet pick-up is located at the front of the Tarleton State Rec Center on the day of the event.
