Tardy Turkey Trot
The Tardy Turkey Trot is a new family-friendly, stroller-friendly 5K held in downtown Estes Park before the Catch the Glow Parade. The course passes through downtown and finishes at the Estes Park Event Center, where participants can watch parade floats pass by one final time.
The event serves as a fundraiser for the Estes Chamber of Commerce's Economic & Workforce Development Council, which supports the economic health and quality of life in the Estes Valley. The race is described as open to all paces.
Participants receive a Tardy Turkey Trot beanie, wearable lights, and locally sourced bagel sandwiches for refueling. Packet pickup details are listed as coming soon. All races are cupless; participants should bring a reusable cup or may purchase a Running Wild reusable cup during registration for five dollars.
Organizers note that downtown parking is expected to fill quickly. Free seasonal shuttles will run throughout the day, and parking at the Estes Park Event Center is recommended so participants finish near their vehicles. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
