TANRI Lake Race 2026 - YMCA Sequoia Lake
TANRI Lake Race 2026 is a multi-format running event held at YMCA Sequoia Lake. The event includes a relay, a 10K, and a 10-hour individual race. Registration for each entry includes a Tanri hat and a dinner on Saturday, August 29th.
The course is at an elevation of approximately 6,000 feet and is based on a looped layout. Each loop measures 5 miles for the relay and individual race. The 10K uses a single 6.2 mile loop around the lake.
Relay race details:
- Teams must consist of 3 runners.
- Each team member must complete four 5-mile loops in the same order as the first loop; any change in order leads to disqualification.
- When a team member crosses the finish line after a loop, the next runner may begin from behind the start line.
- There are no separate Men's or Women's divisions for the relay.
- Prize payouts: 1st $600, 2nd $450, 3rd $300.
10K details:
- One loop around the lake (6.2 miles).
- Men's and Women's divisions.
- Prize payouts: 1st $150, 2nd $100, 3rd $75.

- A 10-hour event where runners complete as many 5-mile laps as possible.
- Only individual race entrants may enter the Western States raffle.
- Raffle qualification requires at least 8 completed laps.
- Ticket allocation doubles for consecutive years of participation up to three years: 1 ticket first year, 2 tickets second year, 4 tickets third year.
- Men's and Women's divisions.
