Tampa WWP & Invited Countryside 5K
This event is part of the Carry Forward Virtual 5K hosted by Wounded Warrior Project, a fundraising activity that supports warriors and their families through healing and connection programs. The in person component is scheduled over a weekend in October 2026 with packet pick up available at a local running store and on site the morning of the event.
The run is a 5K family fun run held at Countryside Country Club in Clearwater, Florida. The route is primarily flat and follows a paved cart path. The course is wheelchair accessible and participants with strollers are asked to remain toward the back so runners may start first. Official participant kits include an event T shirt and bib, and all medals are distributed at the finish line.
Facilities and logistics noted for the event include on site parking at the clubhouse, club restrooms, and a registration table near the start area. Only service dogs are permitted on the golf course. Personal tents, umbrellas, bag check, and lockers will not be available due to venue regulations.
Optional symbolic activities are offered for participants wishing to show additional support: carry a flag for patriotism, carry a weight to represent veterans responsibilities, or carry another person as a symbol of mutual support.
