Tacos & Tequila 5k
The Tacos & Tequila 5k takes place on Saturday, May 2, 2026, at Gwinnett Stripers Stadium, 2500 Buford Dr, Lawrenceville, GA. The event is the fifth annual edition hosted by Performance Race Services and includes both an in-person 5k and a virtual 5k.
The event features a post-race Fiesta Festival open to the public with multiple taco vendors on site. A portion of registration fees is donated to the Lawrenceville Co-Op, which serves more than 350 families per week. Over the past four years the event and its supporters have donated a total of $20,000 to the Lawrenceville Co-Op. Donations and item contributions are accepted as part of the race’s support for the local community.
Swag for participants who meet the shirt cut-off date includes a blended t-shirt. All participants receive a custom Tacos & Tequila 5k medal, two tacos, chips with salsa, and one Margarita or lemonade for those under 21. Finishers receive a TNT sombrero. The guaranteed t-shirt cut-off date is 04/12/26.
Awards are given to the top three overall men and women, top three masters, and top three in age groups 1-10, 11-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70+. Additional awards include Best Costume, Doggie Costume, and Best Mexican Grito scream.
Race logistics note that drink bands and ID verification apply for those 21 and over, bibs include two tear-off tickets for tacos and drinks, restrooms are located inside the stadium, and a parking map is provided with guidance to avoid blocking retail access.
