Tacos N' Beer 5K - Los Angeles
The event is a 5k (3.1 miles) held at Whittier Narrows Park in South El Monte, running on a loop that passes Legg Lake, Center Lake, and North Lake. The course is mostly on trail with a short section of asphalt and includes course entertainment, water stations, and a post-race festival.
Participants receive two free tacos and one free beer for guests aged 21 plus, a crafted medal, and a t-shirt. Chip timing is offered as an option; previous chip timing results are noted for 2026. Top three male and female finishers receive awards and must be wearing a chip timing bib to be eligible.
Packet pick up is offered the day before the event and on race morning. Same-day packet pick up carries a $5 cash fee if the packet was not collected earlier. Parking is available at Whittier Narrows Park with an admission fee of $10 per car.
Starting groups are organized into multiple waves with themed names, including Speedy Gonzalez and Slow poke Rodriguez "Tranquilito", and separate groupings for joggers, walkers, and strollers. Entry fees are non refundable and non transferable; race bibs may not be altered or given to another individual and fees do not transfer to the next year.
