The Half Marathon is an out-and-back route that leaves Cheney Stadium, follows the Scott Pierson Trail, crosses a pedestrian bridge over Highway 16, passes through the Skyline neighborhood, crosses the Tacoma Narrows Bridge, and returns to finish inside Cheney Stadium on the warning track where finishers will appear on the stadium jumbotron. The 5K also starts and finishes at the stadium and includes a lap around the warning track. The Half Marathon carries USATF certification WA22014RMB.
Registration items include a commemorative finisher medal, a tech tank top (there is a deadline to guarantee shirt and size), a collective bib, and optional merchandise while supplies last. Team pricing and ticketed Tacoma Rainiers group packages are offered; a portion of proceeds benefits the Humane Society of Tacoma & Pierce County.
Packet pickup has a pre-race option on Friday, August 28 at Ruston Waterfront Market (5101 Yacht Club Road). Packets contain a bib with timing chip and a gear check tag. Course support includes aid stations approximately every 2 miles with water, electrolyte, Vaseline, basic first aid, and some energy gels; medical personnel are stationed at the finish. The Half Marathon has a 4 hour time limit and an early-start option with conditions.
