Tacoma City Turkey Trot
The Tacoma City Turkey Trot is a Thanksgiving morning community running event in Tacoma’s Proctor District. It offers two distances: a 5K Run/Walk and a Kids 1K for children aged 12 and under. The 5K course carries USATF certification WA22024RMB and both distances start and finish at Fleet Feet Tacoma.
Registration includes a collective bib, and timed 5K runners receive a commemorative finisher medal while Kids 1K participants receive a finisher ribbon. A T-shirt is included for 5K registrations; runners are advised to order by November 12 to guarantee a shirt and size. Team discounts apply for groups of 4, 10, and 15 participants. All entry fees are non-refundable and participants under 18 must have a parent or guardian waiver.
Packet pickup is scheduled the day before the race; packets contain a race bib with an attached timing chip and a gear check tear tag. Gear check is available on race day and food bank donations are collected at gear check for the Northwest Tacoma Nourish Food Bank. A portion of proceeds is directed to the Humane Society of Tacoma & Pierce County. Medical services are provided by event medical partners.
