Table Rock Ultras : Morganton, NC
Table Rock Ultras on Saturday, September 19, 2026 features two trail races based at Steele Creek Park and Family Campground in Morganton, North Carolina. Entry is restricted to participants aged 18 and over. The event is permitted by the US Forest Service.
The event offers these distances:
- 50K: summit of Table Rock Mountain; ~5,700 ft total climb.
- 30K: same outbound route as the 50K until the second aid station; ~4,000 ft total climb.
Course notes: the 50K reaches the summit of Table Rock Mountain and includes multiple creek crossings, technical stretches, extensive elevation change, and varied surfaces including single track, double track, and gravel. Course composition by distance is provided: miles of single-track, double-track, and gravel for each race and total vertical change figures.
Aid stations: water, Gatorade, and assorted soft drinks plus basic foods such as chips, pretzels, cookies, M&Ms, gummi bears, trail mix, and PB&J. Organizers request runners bring a water bottle or hydration bladder because cups will not be available.
Camping and lodging: start and finish are at Steele Creek Park and Family Campground. A primitive camping area is reserved for the event and certain sites are closest to the start. A discounted primitive site option and a discount code for other sites are noted in event materials.
Cancellation and refunds: if the race is canceled it may be moved to a virtual format run on the actual course. No refunds, transfers, or deferrals are issued if the event moves to virtual. Partial refunds are available up to 45 days before the event with a scheduled refund scale and limited exceptions for military deployment, pregnancy deferment, and recent death in the immediate family.
