The Event
The Table Rock Ultras are a pair of ultramarathons, a 50K and a 30K race. The event takes place on September 19, 2026. The courses run through the Pisgah National Forest and ascend to the summit of Table Rock Mountain, which overlooks Linville Gorge.
The Course
Both races start and finish at the family-friendly Steele Creek Park and Campground, which serves as a base camp. The routes feature significant climbing and traverse parts of the Mountains-to-Sea Trail, a long-distance trail connecting various scenic areas across North Carolina. Runners can expect to encounter natural terrain including creeks and rocks.
Supporting the Trail
A portion of the event's proceeds benefit the Friends of the Mountains-to-Sea Trail, the organization that maintains the over 1,000-mile trail system. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
