Table Mountain Challenge : 5 September 2026
The Table Mountain Challenge is a trail running event held at The Lawns at the Roundhouse, Camps Bay on 5 September 2026. The event offers three measured trail distances that use routes on Table Mountain and its lower slopes.
Distances:
- 40 km circumnavigating Table Mountain, elevation 1900 m, four refuel stations.
- 27 km route via Kasteelspoort and other trails, elevation 1700 m, three refuel stations.
- 15 km route on lower slopes, elevation 400 m, one refuel station.
Entry fees are listed for each distance. The event specifies compulsory kit requirements for all participants: at least 1.5 L of water, food (for example energy bar or banana), a fully charged cellphone, a windbreaker and a space blanket; a waterproof jacket is required if rain is expected. Participants must bring a reusable cup because the event is plastic and paper cup free; water sachets and paper cups are not used.
The event rules prohibit headphones, dogs, and litter. The organizer also notes green and environmentally friendly practices and indicates pre race registration details are to be confirmed. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
