About the race

TABLE MOUNTAIN CHALLENGE takes place on 4 September 2027 around Table Mountain with three marked trail distances and specified support details.

The event offers the following distances:

42 km circumnavigating Table Mountain; elevation gain 2300 m; 5 refuel stations; entry fee R1600.
27 km route with ocean views; elevation gain 1500 m; 4 refuel stations; entry fee R1200.
15 km route on lower slopes; elevation gain 500 m; 3 refuel stations; entry fee R650.

The race village and registration are located at The Lawns at the Roundhouse in Camps Bay. Pre-race registration is scheduled for Thursday 2 September; race day registration opens at the race village. Changes to entries (upgrades, downgrades, substitutions) are only allowed at pre-race registration on 2 September.

Participants are required to carry specific kit: at least 1.5 L water, food (for example an energy bar or banana), a fully charged cellphone, a windbreaker and a waterproof jacket if rain is expected, a space blanket, and a reusable cup. The event follows green practices by not providing water sachets or paper cups. Prohibited items include headphones, dogs, and litter.

Parking instructions specify parking on Kloof Road with access via Lower Kloof Road from the Camps Bay side and that access via Camps Bay Drive to The Lawns will be closed. Follow marshals' instructions on arrival. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
