Table Mountain Challenge
The Table Mountain Challenge is a trail-running event held on 4 September 2027 around Table Mountain with three measured route options and on-course refuel stations.
Distances and key facts:
- 42 km : Elevation 2300 m, 5 refuel stations, Entry R1600
- 27 km : Elevation 1500 m, 4 refuel stations, Entry R1200
- 15 km : Elevation 500 m, 3 refuel stations, Entry R650
The event uses The Lawns at the Roundhouse, Roundhouse Road, Camps Bay as the race village and registration venue. Pre-race registration is available on Thursday 2 September with a specific registration window; changes to entries (upgrades, downgrades, substitutions) are only allowed at pre-race registration and not on race day. Early-bird entries for the 2027 event open on 1 October.
Organizers require a set of compulsory kit items to be carried by participants, including at least 1.5 L of water, food (for example an energy bar or banana), a fully charged cellphone, a windbreaker (and waterproof jacket if rain is expected), a space blanket, and a reusable cup. The event is operated with environmental measures such as no water sachets and no paper cups. Race-day parking is directed to Kloof Road with access via Lower Kloof Road from the Camps Bay side; access via Camps Bay Drive to The Lawns will be closed.
