T-Town Turkey Trot
The T-Town Turkey Trot is a community 5K run or walk held on Thanksgiving, November 26, 2026, in Tazewell, Virginia at 160 Main Street. The event offers a single distance of 5K (3.1 miles) with two registration options: one that guarantees a race T-shirt when entered early and one without a guaranteed T-shirt; both options list a registration fee of $25.
The event is pet friendly with dogs allowed on a leash and is stroller friendly. A portion of the event proceeds will be donated to the local food pantry A Child Shall Lead Them. Participants are invited to bring non-perishable food donations; an award will be given for the largest amount collected.
Awards will be distributed for multiple categories, including male and female first place overall, first place winners in age groups (0-12, 13-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75 and up), best costumes, fastest dog, fastest stroller, most food donated, and two $25 gift card prizes to a local restaurant.
