Syrup Stampede
The Syrup Stampede is an annual fundraiser and community event held on April 12, 2026 at Look Memorial Park in Florence, Massachusetts. The event benefits Empty Arms Bereavement Support, an organization that serves individuals and families whose babies have died through miscarriage, stillbirth, early infant death, or termination for medical reasons.
The program includes a professionally timed 5K run, a 2K fun run or walk, and a pancake breakfast. Participants are invited to form teams or create fundraising pages to support Empty Arms. Organizers and sponsors contribute to the event budget; the Stampede is reported to provide a large portion of the nonprofit’s annual funding.
Course details for the 5K describe a clockwise loop around the park, a stretch onto a bike path around 1.57 miles, a turnaround just past the 2 mile marker, and a final return to the park loop for the finish. The 2K follows a single loop along the park road.
