Syracuse Mudtastic Classic
The Syracuse Mudtastic Classic is an obstacle run held at the WACF Levinson-LaBrosse Lakes & Wetlands Education Center, 1 mile south of Syracuse on SR 13 (11586 SR 13, Syracuse, IN 46567). The trail is approximately 2.25 miles and includes more than 15 obstacles with uneven ground, water, mud, climbing, and crawling. Participants may choose to complete or bypass any obstacle; the event is not timed as a race.
Registration opens Monday, March 16 and is available at the Syracuse Community Center and online. Fees are $25 for adults (ages 15 and above) and $25 for youth (ages 7-14). A nominal service fee applies to online registration. Participants who register by June 5 are guaranteed a race t-shirt subject to size and availability.
Both youth and adults may enter as individuals or in teams. Teams may include up to 10 participants, must submit registration forms together, and must designate one team captain. Team members will be assigned to the same starting wave. Participants will be notified of their assigned starting time the week of the event and should check in at least 15 minutes before their wave.
Course support includes on-course water stations and post-event refreshments at the Ruddell Pavilion. A designated hose-off area will be available near the finish. A marked spectator viewing area and designated parking on WACF property are provided. The event proceeds rain or shine; in the case of severe weather it will be rescheduled for Sunday, June 21.
