About the race
The Syltlauf is a point to point road and trail race on the island of Sylt, held on 21 March 2027 and organised by TSV Tinnum66. The course runs from List to Hörnum and measures approximately 34.5 km, combining asphalt, gravel and natural public paths. The route includes five official aid stations at about km 6.5, 13.5, 18.5, 25 and 28.5, plus supply in the finish area; aid station provisions include bananas, warmed water, Gatorade and warm vegetable broth in the finish area.
Timing is by chip with net time recording; the chip is attached to the start number or integrated in the relay baton and there are no extra chip fees. All finishers receive a medal; overall and age group winners are honoured and trophies are presented only to attending participants. The event is medically supervised and aimed at well trained recreational runners. The organiser may cancel, shorten or stop the event for extreme weather or other reasons; in such cases no start fee refunds are provided.
Entry limits and services are defined: up to 900 individual places and 60 relay places; relay teams must have 6 to 8 runners and divide the course as they choose. Registration opens 01.07.2026 and closes 01.03.2027 or earlier when places are full. Shuttle buses serve start and finish because no parking is available there. Start number pickup is available on the day before at the Nudelparty and on race morning. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
