About the race
The Syltlauf is a point to point road and trail race on 21 March 2027 from List to Hörnum on the island of Sylt. The course is about 34.5 km long and runs partly on asphalt and partly on gravel or natural public paths. The start is at the Jugendherberge Möwenberg in List and the finish at the Fünf‑Städte‑Heim in Hörnum.
There are five on-course aid stations at the following approximate kilometres: Klappholtal (Kampen) at km 6.5, Kursaal Hoch 3 (Wenningstedt) at km 13.5, Musikmuschel (Westerland) at km 18.5, Feuerwehr Rantum at km 25 and near the Sansibar at km 28.5, plus additional supply in the finish area. Offered refreshments include bananas, warmed water, Gatorade and in the finish warm vegetable broth.
Timed results use chip timing; the chip is attached to the start number or integrated in the relay baton. Medical personnel are present and may remove participants for health reasons. The event has a 4.5 hour time limit. Weather can be extreme in March; the organiser may cancel, shorten or stop the event without refund.
Organiser information: TSV Tinnum66. Entry opens 01.07.2026 online, with 900 individual and 60 relay places. Entry fees are 66 € for individuals and 266 € per relay (6–8 runners).
