Event Overview

The Sykesville Shiver Shuffle is a 5k run held in downtown Sykesville, Maryland. The 2026 event will be its 14th annual edition. It takes place on February 15.

Course & Schedule

The route goes through downtown Sykesville. The race starts and finishes in the downtown area. Packet pick-up is available the day before the race at St. Paul's UMC and on race day from 10:00 AM to 11:15 AM. The race begins at 11:30 AM.

Registration & Details

Online registration closes on February 12 at 4:00 PM. Registration is also available at packet pick-up on February 14. There is no race day registration. The deadline to register for a shirt is January 26. All registrations are final with no refunds for weather or non-participation.

Awards & Perks

Awards include cash prizes for the top three overall male and female finishers. Every finisher receives a medal. Registered runners get a $5 coupon to use at participating stores, pubs, or restaurants on Main Street. There will be raffle drawings with prizes claimed after the run.

Charity & Logistics

A portion of the proceeds benefits the St. Paul's UMC Food Pantry. Parking is limited in town lots, but is available at Sykesville Middle School, approximately half a mile away. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
