Event overview

The Sykesville Shiver Shuffle is a 14th annual 5K road race held in Sykesville, MD on February 15, 2026. The course starts and finishes in Downtown Sykesville with staging at St Pauls UMC. Registrations are final; there are no refunds for weather or non-participation.

Logistics and extras

Online registration closes February 12, 2026 at 4:00 PM. Packet pickup is available at St Pauls UMC on February 14; race day pickup is also offered. There is no race-day registration. The last day to register to receive a shirt premium is January 26.

Registered runners receive a $5 coupon usable at participating stores, pubs, or restaurants on Main Street. Cash awards are offered to the top three overall male and female finishers. Each finisher receives a medal. Raffle prizes are drawn at random and can be claimed after the run.

A portion of race proceeds will benefit St Pauls UMC Food Pantry, in partnership with Westminster Rescue Mission, South Carroll Rotary Club, and Impact Church. Parking near downtown is limited; additional parking is available at Sykesville Middle School, about 1/2 mile away. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
