Sydney Ultra Marathons
Sydney Ultra Marathons is a two-day trail running event held in July 2026 with a base at St Ives Showground on Sydney’s Upper North Shore. The courses run through Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park, Garigal National Park, Manly Dam and surrounding reserves, providing trail terrain close to the city.
Distances on offer include:
- SUM 30: 30 km, 976 m ascent and 976 m descent
- SUM 50: 50 km, 1,572 m ascent and 1,572 m descent
- SUM 100: 100 km, 2,914 m ascent and 2,914 m descent
Courses are clearly marked with signage, trail flags and marshals at key points and intersections. All distances feature fully stocked aid stations at regular intervals; specific aid station contents are to be determined. Participants are required to carry mandatory gear for the entire race; random gear checks will be conducted and failure to carry required gear may result in disqualification.
Event logistics include free parking at St Ives Showground and no requirement for shuttle buses or parking passes. Bag drop is available at the start and finish for all races, with an additional race-day bag drop during the 100 km event. Bib collection is available before the race and on race day.
