Sydney Ultra Marathons : event overview
The Sydney Ultra Marathons are trail races held in July 2026 within Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park, Garigal National Park, Manly Dam and surrounding reserves near Sydney. All distances start from St Ives Showground on Sydney’s Upper North Shore. The event takes place across two days on 25 and 26 July 2026.
The courses are fully marked with signage, trail flags and marshals at key points and intersections. Fully stocked aid stations are provided at regular intervals along every course. Participants must carry the full list of mandatory gear for the entire race; random gear checks will be conducted and failure to carry required items can result in disqualification.
Facilities and services at St Ives Showground include free parking for participants and a bag drop at the start and finish for all races; an additional bag drop is available during the 100 km race. Bib collection is available before the race and on race morning. Pacers are not permitted. Results from the event are uploaded to ITRA and UTM for indexing.
Race capacities and time limits are enforced to manage trails and safety. Cut-off durations are set for each distance and are communicated to entrants. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.

- SUM 50: 50 km, 1,572 m ascent and 1,572 m descent
- SUM 100: 100 km, 2,914 m ascent and 2,914 m descent
