Swissalpine - Trailrunning & Hiking Festival
The Swissalpine takes place in the Flims Laax region, offering a variety of courses for trail runners and hikers. The event routes pass through scenic natural landmarks such as the Rhine Gorge, also known as the Swiss Grand Canyon, the turquoise Cauma lake, and the UNESCO World Heritage site Sardona featuring the Martinsloch and Tschingelhörner. Most routes start and finish at Flims Prau la Selva.
Participants can choose from several distances and formats:
- K78: A 78.2 km trail with +/- 4,624 m altitude change.
- K78Four: The 78.2 km route completed by teams of 4 (2 women and 2 men).
- K42: A 42.1 km marathon distance with +/- 2,609 m altitude change.
- K23 and H23: A 23.2 km route with +/- 923 m altitude change, available for both runners and hikers.
- K12 and H12: A 12.5 km route with +/- 421 m altitude change for runners and hikers.
- Kids Run: A 1 km course for children with +/- 11 m altitude change.
