Swiss Valley Trail Races - October 3, 2026 - Peosta, IA
The event is a trail running weekend held at Swiss Valley Nature Preserve and Swiss Valley Park in Peosta, Iowa. It offers three distance options run on an approximate 5.2 mile loop that features creek crossings, steep inclines, and rugged terrain.
Distances
- 50K - six loops of the 5.2 mile course
- 25K - three loops of the 5.2 mile course
- 5.2 miles - single loop
The loop includes significant climbing, with organizers referencing roughly 750 to 875 feet of ascent per loop. The 25K and 50K are composed of repeated laps of this same loop.
Logistics include packet pickup at a downtown Dubuque location prior to race day and race day packet pickup at the Swiss Valley Nature Center. Parking is located at Swiss Valley Park with shuttle service to and from the start and finish area. Free tent camping and showers are available at Swiss Valley Campground, which is adjacent to the parking and packet pickup area.
