Swiss Valley Trail Races
Swiss Valley Trail Races take place at Swiss Valley Nature Center near Peosta, Iowa. The event uses an approximate 5.2 mile loop through Swiss Valley Nature Preserve with creek crossings, steep inclines, and rugged terrain. Each loop includes about 875 feet of climb. The 25k is three loops and the 50k is six loops.
Distances offered:
- 50K six loops of the 5.2 mile course.
- 25K three loops of the 5.2 mile course.
- 5.2 mile single loop course option.
Packet pickup is available in downtown Dubuque at Dimensional Brewing Company and on race day at the Swiss Valley Nature Center. Free tent camping and showers are available at Swiss Valley Park and Campground near the start area. Parking is at Swiss Valley Park with shuttle service to the start/finish area. Event proceeds benefit Friends of Dubuque County Conservation, which supports Dubuque County parks and environmental education.
