Swiss Valley Trail Races
The Swiss Valley Trail Races take place in Peosta, Iowa, at the Swiss Valley Nature Center and nearby Swiss Valley Park and Campground. The event offers multiple trail distances over a roughly 5.2 mile loop set inside Swiss Valley Nature Preserve, featuring creek crossings, steep inclines, and rugged terrain.

The loop is approximately a 5.2 mile circuit with significant climbing, reported at roughly 750 to 875 feet of ascent per loop. The 25K is run as three loops and the 50K as six loops. Parking and free tent camping are available at Swiss Valley Park, near the campground showers, and free shuttles transport runners and spectators between parking and the start/finish area.
Packet pickup is available in downtown Dubuque at Dimensional Brewing the day before the event and on race day at the Swiss Valley Nature Center. The race is part of the No Coast Trail Series. Proceeds benefit the Friends of Dubuque County Conservation, which supports county parks and environmental education. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
