Swiss Valley Trail Races - Peosta, IA - October 3, 2026
The Swiss Valley Trail Races are a trail running event held at Swiss Valley Nature Preserve in Peosta, Iowa on October 3, 2026. The course follows an approximate loop of 5.2 miles through the preserve and includes creek crossings, steep inclines, and rugged terrain.
Distances offered:
- 50K (six loops)
- 25K (three loops)
- 5.2 Miler (one loop)
Each loop climbs around 750 feet. The 25K and 50K are run as repeated loops of the same course. Free shuttles run between the parking area and the start/finish vicinity. Parking, tent camping, and showers are available at Swiss Valley Park and Campground, located close to the race start and packet pickup area.
Packet pickup is scheduled at Dimensional Brewing Company in downtown Dubuque on the Friday before the race from 5pm to 7pm. Race day packet pickup will be available at the Swiss Valley Nature Center near the start/finish area.
All proceeds from the event benefit the Friends of Dubuque County Conservation, which supports Dubuque County parks and environmental education. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
