Course and format
The course is an approximate 5.2 mile loop with about 875 feet of climb per loop. The 25k uses three loops and the 50k uses six loops. The terrain includes creek crossings, steep inclines, and rugged trail sections within the Swiss Valley Nature Preserve.
Logistics
Parking and camping are located at Swiss Valley Park, near the race start/finish at Swiss Valley Nature Center. Free tent camping and showers are available at the campground next to the packet pickup area. Packet pickup is scheduled for Friday evening at Dimensional Brewing Company in downtown Dubuque, with additional race day pickup at the Swiss Valley Nature Center. Free shuttles will run between the parking/camping area and the start/finish area.
