Swiss Valley Trail Races : Peosta, IA (Oct 3, 2026)
The event offers three distance options held at Swiss Valley Nature Preserve in Peosta, Iowa. All proceeds benefit the Friends of Dubuque County Conservation. Free tent camping and showers are available at Swiss Valley Park and the Swiss Valley Campground, which is located near the race start/finish area and the packet pickup location.
- 50K - six loops of the 5.2 mile course
- 25K - three loops of the 5.2 mile course
- 5.2 Miler - single loop
Course and logistics
The course is an approximate 5.2 mile loop on trails that include creek crossings, steep inclines, and rugged terrain. Each loop climbs around 750 feet. Parking is at Swiss Valley Park, a short walk from the start/finish area, and free shuttles will run to and from the start/finish. Packet pickup is provided at Dimensional Brewing Company in downtown Dubuque and at the Swiss Valley Nature Center on race day.
