Swiss Valley Trail Races
The event is a trail run at Swiss Valley Nature Preserve in Peosta, Iowa, using an approximate 5.2 mile loop that includes creek crossings, steep inclines, and rugged terrain. The course lists about 875 feet of climb per loop. The 25k distance comprises three loops and the 50k comprises six loops.

Race logistics note free amenities and transportation. Free tent camping and showers are available at Swiss Valley Park and the nearby Swiss Valley Campground, which is located close to race packet pickup. Parking is at Swiss Valley Park with shuttle service to the start and finish area. Packet pickup takes place at Dimensional Brewing Company in downtown Dubuque on the Friday before the race from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm, and race day packet pickup is available at the Swiss Valley Nature Center.
All proceeds from the run benefit the Friends of Dubuque County Conservation, which supports Dubuque County parks and environmental education. The event’s deferral and refund policy states that guaranteed refunds are not provided for cancellations outside the organizers control, including pandemics, natural disaster, or emergency weather.
