Event overview
The First Bank of Berne Swiss Days Race takes place in Berne, Indiana on Saturday, July 25, 2026. The event is centered at Washington and Jefferson Streets in downtown Berne. The program includes two distances:
- 5K
- 1 Mile (Kids) : open to ages 11 and under
Registration and logistics
Both events list an entry fee of $20. Registration opens on December 31, 2025. Online entries are accepted through 11:59 p.m. on Wednesday, July 23; race day registration is also accepted but registrants on race day will not receive a shirt. To receive a race shirt on the day of the event, participants must be registered by Sunday, July 20 at 11:59 p.m.
Early packet pickup is available Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the information kiosk downtown at Swiss Days. Race day packet pickup begins at 7 a.m. There will be an aid station along the 5K route, and post-race refreshments will be provided. Awards will be presented to the top 10 finishers in each division. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
