Swing Bridge Run - Beaufort, SC
Organized by Holy Trinity Classical Christian School in cooperation with the City of Beaufort, the Swing Bridge Run takes place in historic downtown Beaufort and crosses the Woods Bridge on a USATF certified 5K course. The event includes a timed running race and an untimed community walk.
Event distances include:
- 5K running race USATF certified course
- 2.5 Miles all ages bridge walk untimed turn-around at bridge end
Online registration opens May 27, 2026 and closes October 9, 2026. Registration fees listed by the organizer are $40 for the 5K and $35 for the walk. T-shirts are included for registrants; to help ensure preferred sizes, participants are advised to register before October 17, 2026. Hoodies are available for purchase until October 17, 2026. All shirts and hoodies must be picked up at packet pickup or on race day; uncollected items may be made available for resale.
Packet pickup is scheduled the day before the race at Grounded Running and on race day at the start/finish area at Freedom Mall on Bay Street. Walkers will not be timed, will turn around at the end of the bridge, and will not receive a race bib. The event is dog friendly and stroller friendly with the request that those participants remain toward the back; bicycles are not permitted.
Awards are given to the top three overall male and female finishers and to the top three in each age group: 8–12, 13–19, 20–29, 30–39, 40–49, 50–59, 60–69, and 70+. Virtual 5K participants are not eligible for trophy awards.
The Swing Bridge Run is the second race in the Beaufort Triple Crown Race Series, a three-race series that supports local nonprofits and offers combined-time awards and medal charms for series finishers.
