Swedish Mile Trail Race and Family Fun Day
The Swedish Mile Trail Race and Family Fun Day is an annual community event in Mora, Minnesota. It combines timed trail racing, shorter trail runs for youth, and an afternoon of family-oriented activities to raise funds for snow-making and operations at the Vasaloppet Nordic Center.

The 10K follows a well-marked woodland course that starts and finishes at the Nordic Center. The route uses both the Vasaloppet Ski Trails, which are wide and grassy, and Fat Bike single-track trails, which are narrower and more rugged. Participants should expect roots, rocks, hills, turns, and muddy sections. The 10K includes an aid station near the midpoint, finish-line refreshments and a racer's lunch. The 5K shares the same trail features but does not have the mid-race aid station. Kids races include a post-race snack.
Proceeds support snow-making and trail operations. Local volunteers known as Snow Farmers use equipment to spread man-made snow so nordic programs and events can run when natural snow is limited. Past fundraising helped purchase snow guns and related infrastructure; this event aims to cover operating costs such as fuel.
Entry fees are published for each distance. Registration benefits may include a commemorative item for early registrants and prize recognition for top finishers in male and female categories. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
