Sweater Weather 10K and 5K
The event offers two trail distances at the Canmore Nordic Centre Stadium, located behind the Main Lodge at 1988 Olympic Way, Canmore, Alberta. Courses follow double-track dirt trails through pine forest and include sections with noticeable elevation.
Distances:
- 5 km on double-track trail
- 10 km on double-track trail
An aid station stocked with water and Precision Fuel and Hydration products is located at 3.5 km for the 5 km, and at 3.5 km and 7.5 km for the 10 km. Medical staff and volunteers will be available on course and at the finish. Bear spray is required for participants 18 years and older in accordance with Canmore Nordic Centre rules; checks will occur at the start. Strollers are not permitted on course. Leashed dogs may watch from the sidelines but are not allowed on the course.
Race package pickup is available at Strides Canmore or at the Canmore Nordic Centre on race morning. Registration opens April 1, 2026, early bird pricing runs until May 1, 2026, and registration closes at midnight on September 26 or when the event sells out. Two dollars from every entry will be donated to the Biosphere Institute of the Bow Valley. Entries are non refundable; transfers or deferrals are possible if requested before September 15, 2026.
