Swanzey Covered Bridges Half Marathon
The Swanzey Covered Bridges half marathon is an annual road race in Swanzey, New Hampshire, held in memory of its founder. Proceeds from the event support students at Monadnock Regional Middle-High School, a school with historic ties to the race founder.
The course is a counter clockwise loop through the Swanzey area that includes the town's signature landmarks and returns to paved roads before finishing at Monadnock Regional Middle-High School. There are six water stations spaced along the course, with every other table supplying Gatorade. Parking and the start and finish lines are located at 600 Old Homestead Highway, Swanzey, NH.
The school facilities are available to participants after the race and include bathrooms, locker rooms, and post-race showers. A post-race barbecue is held after the finish and includes hamburgers, hot dogs, pasta salad, and watermelon. The event is described as welcoming to runners and joggers of all skill levels.
