Swanzey Covered Bridges Half-Marathon
The Swanzey Covered Bridges Half-Marathon, also known as Elijah's Race, is an annual distance running event held in Swanzey, New Hampshire. The race takes place in early September and serves as a memorial event to support the students of Monadnock Regional Middle-High School.

The course includes an elevation gain of approximately 300-400 feet throughout the route. Participants run through several historical covered bridges, including the Thompson, Carlton, and Cresson bridges. Most of these structures date back to the pre-Civil War era, providing a scenic view of the New England landscape.
Participants who register by mid-August are provided with a commemorative T-shirt. All finishers receive a custom participation medal. The event includes access to school locker rooms at both the start and finish lines, with portable toilets situated at points along the course. Following the race, the organizers hold a barbecue and raffles. Monetary prizes are awarded to the top three finishing runners. The event is located at 580 Old Homestead Highway.
