About the race
Swansea Triathlon is a sprint distance race held in the city centre along the waterfront. The event takes place on 23 May 2027 with entry from £84.99 and a listed sprint entry price of £84.99. The course combines a swim in the dock with flat, closed-road bike sections and a short road run.
The sprint distances are 750 m swim, 20 km bike and 5 km run. The bike leg is completed as three laps of a signed and marshalled circuit; signage uses a black arrow on a fluorescent background. The event is run as a non-drafting race and includes comprehensive marshals and course signage.
Course notes state that roads are closed where possible but vehicle-free conditions cannot be guaranteed. Riders should be aware of road conditions, the presence of members of the public crossing at various points, and that any blue light incident on course will take priority over the event. Competitors are required to keep to the left hand side unless overtaking and to reduce speed at turn points. The organiser describes the event as first-timer friendly.
