Swansea Triathlon
The Swansea Triathlon is a sprint event set along the city centre waterfront with a swim in the dock and flat, closed-road bike and run sections. The sprint distance is listed as a 750 m swim, 20 km bike and 5 km run.
The bike course is a non drafting route that requires completing three laps. The course is marshalled and signed with a black arrow on a fluorescent background. Riders are required to keep to the left except when overtaking and to ride within their ability. Competitors should be aware that the course cannot be guaranteed free of vehicles and that members of the public may cross the roads at various points. In the event of an emergency or blue light incident, emergency services receive priority.
Turn and lap instructions include a specific point near Morgan's Hotel where athletes should stay to the right unless returning to transition; after completing three laps athletes keep left to return to transition. Course maps and GPX files are provided for the sprint route. The event lists a sprint entry fee of £84.99 and notes a payment plan option. Organisers describe the course as city centre, flat and suitable for first timers. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
