Swansea Triathlon
The Swansea Triathlon is a sprint triathlon staged along Swansea waterfront and the city centre. The swim takes place in the dock, followed by flat, closed road bike sections and a city centre run. The event is described as fast and first-timer friendly.
Course details for the sprint format specify a 750 m swim, 20 km bike and 5 km run. The bike leg requires completing three laps of a comprehensively marshalled and signed circuit. Signage uses black arrows on a fluorescent background. Course maps and GPX files are provided for the sprint route.
Safety and race rules are stated clearly. This is a non drafting event. Participants are asked to keep to the left except when overtaking, to ride within their ability, and to be mindful of road conditions and members of the public crossing the course. Blue light emergency response receives priority. Dangerous riding or abusive language can result in disqualification. Riders are asked to communicate when overtaking, avoid sudden movements, and reduce speed approaching turn points; one specific turn point is noted near Morgan's Hotel.
Event pricing for the sprint entry is listed at £84.99 and a payment plan option is available. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
