Event Overview
The Swamp Stomp 5K is a community running event located in the coastal town of Port Royal, South Carolina. The course winds through local streets, offering views of regional landmarks and coastal marshes. The primary objective of the race is to raise funds for The Complete Student, an educational institution serving students in grades five through twelve.
Participants can choose from the following distances:
- 5K running race
- 400m (1/4 mile) kids run
Awards and Recognition
The event provides awards for the top male and female finishers across several age divisions. These categories include participants aged 12 and under, 13-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60 and up. Specific recognitions are also available for participants running with a dog, those pushing strollers, and the oldest runner to complete the course. A specialized spirit award is given to a runner demonstrating high levels of determination.
Additional Activities
The event takes place at Live Oaks Park and features on-site amenities beyond the race course. Attendees can visit a craft show highlighting goods from local artisans and vendors. A variety of food trucks are available on the grounds, providing various food and beverage options for participants and spectators.
