Swamp Stomp 5K - Port Royal, SC
The Swamp Stomp 5K is a community running event in downtown Port Royal with activities centered at Live Oaks Park (901 14th St, Port Royal, SC 29935). The event includes a main 5K and a 1/4 mile kids run.
The run is presented as a scenic course through Port Royal with views of local landmarks and marshland. Proceeds benefit The Complete Student, a school serving grades 5 through 12 and supporting academic, social, and creative resources for its students.
Awards are presented to the top male and female finishers in each age division: 12 and under, 13 to 19, 20 to 29, 30 to 39, 40 to 49, 50 to 59, and 60 and up. Additional special awards include the Canine Companion Award for a first-place runner accompanied by a pet, the Stroller Spirit Award for the fastest runner pushing a stroller, the Ageless Athlete Award for the oldest finisher, and the Swamp Rabbit Spirit Award for a runner noted for perseverance. All participants receive a finisher award while supplies last.
